This is the top-shelf wine in the Cantine di Dolianova portfolio and it shows. This wine offers a deeper level of complexity and nuance with wild berry aromas piled high onto tar, scorched earth and a touch of pretty balsam herb. That complexity has been carefully nudged along, but the wine's age and those elegant tertiary notes are already beginning to show.
